Magnet

Magnet

We brought Magnet home on Tuesday 24 June 2008; we soon discovered that this eight week old lightweight (4 kg; 8½ lbs) thought he was the Hound of the Baskervilles. He howls when he is left on his own whether we are in or not (so our neighbours tell us!).

We had forgotten what puppies are like. He chews anything that he can get his mouth round - table legs, people legs, mats, his blankets... No doubt he will stop after his adult teeth have grown.

Still, having a dog about the house once more is a joy - and we are looking forward to July 2008 when we can take him out for walks on the fields and to the seaside: all the things we did for so long with Raq.

Cleo is not a happy girl because Magnet, who had never met a cat, wants to play and so he chases her. Once she has smacked his nose a few times, he will stop - and then peace will reign as it did with Raq, Suzie and Wellington.

More photos here - he's growing!
